The goal of our planned project was to encourage the entrepreneurship of youngsters, primarily those who were disadvantaged, who were facing multiple disadvantages, by knowledge of business, respectively by transferring and developing entrepreneurial competences. The program was implemented jointly by 5 organizations from 5 countries, and the planned youth exchange was  implemented in Sturovo / Slovakia. Through the exchange, we strove for a more comprehensive, even more effective knowledge transfer for young people. The planned youth exchange  lasted for 7 days, with 6 young people from each organization and a team leader.

The exchange took place between 29th of July and the 3rd of August 2019. The implementation of the program was justified by the fact that youth unemployment, one of the most acute problems in Europe, was heavily affecting the countries participating in the project. As an answer to this, it was important that we  showed such alternatives to the young people as a primary aim: to ensure them enough to live on in the long run, that have a positive impact on their living conditions, and have beneficial effects on the economic competitiveness of the countries.

We wished to show them the way of how to bring their ideas to life, how to start a profitable activity, and to carry on doing it. During these planned exchanges, they got answers to such questions as the questions of starting an enterprise, tasks involved, the importance of entrepreneurial skills and abilities, how to establish relations, what are good business relations like, how to obtain a market for their undertaking, what kind of tasks need to be performed while operating a business etc.

The proportion of youth unemployment was growing more and more, this unfavourable tendency was characteristic to the whole European Union and the neighbouring countries, the Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region. The situation has continued to spiral downward since the early 2000s, and the crisis has only further strengthened this process.
